October 8 - December 3     | Tuesdays      12.30pm - 3.00pm

October 9 to December 4   | Wednesdays 12.30pm - 3.00pm

October 11 to December 6 | Fridays          12.30pm - 3.00pm

 

Brush up on your basic computer skills including safe internet, online use and managing passwords, setting up and managing email accounts, MS Word and Excel skills, basic typing techniques and use of phones and other digital devices.

Upgrade your English 19ALNINTENG

 

Expressions of Interest for Tuesday 6.30pm - 9.00pm

 

This course will cover skills such as spoken and written workplace communication, grammatical accuracy, meeting and presentation skills in a small and friendly group situation.

Career Skills (delivered by the MACV consortium)

 

This course focuses on generic skills that are transferable across a variety of jobs and industries. Each day focuses on a specific skill set. 

Week 1: Customer Service

Week 2: Office Administration

Week 3: Occupational Health and Safety

Week 4: Sales

 

November 11 to December 2 | Mondays 9.00am - 3.30pm

Funding and Eligibility

 

Learn Local courses are subsidised through the Department of Education and Training Participation Branch and eligibility rules apply. On enrolment participants will be asked to show their green Medicare card as proof of eligibility. 

 

Participants with a current Pension Card or Health Care Card, may be entitled to a discount.

Combining Courses 

 

Certain if you combine courses such as Office Skills, Computers and English the second course will be charged at half price.

 

To be eligible for these classes participants must be Australian residents and produce a green Medicare card as evidence of eligibility
